Why Rust might change things for the better!
In the talk, I would like to share my experience as a beginner in Rust programming language. The talk will have a walkthrough for getting someone kickstarted with Rust. Once the walkthrough is complete, the talk will discuss some of the quick applications where we can explore the question: Can Rust bring performance benefits? The experiments will explore Python and other programming languages, and using Rust within existing projects written in these languages.
Utkarsh Goel
Utkarsh has been in Hong Kong since 2016, and graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a degree in Computer Science in 2020. He started building Clearbot, self-driving robot boats that clean the oceans in 2019 and also works on building tools for developers such as Deploifai, and has worked on several open source projects in the past.

Tommy is a Customer Solutions Architect from Google Cloud helping customers to become more agile in delivering transformational business results. He has held various technical roles in solution architecture and software engineering within large enterprises and boutique solution partners over the past 15 years. He has been helping organisations in designing scalable digital solutions and enabling their teams to adopt cloud native architectures and modern software delivery practices.
